Norland was set up in 1892 by Emily Ward an infant teacher herself , who passionately felt that early years childcare should be centred around the child and loving and nurturing. 'Love never faileth'.Emily focused the training on the principles of Friedrich Frobel who recognised that all children had unique needs and capabilities. Norland was the first college to offer any childcare training.
Louenna herself offers a range of maternity services including Preparation Day For Your Newborn and also she is on hand to provide a Help and Advice Service as required.
